Description
“Sometimes it’s nice to just get away from your daily life to enjoy a fun-filled concert setting that will make you laugh and jump around,” says Oak Street Blues guitarist/lead singer Chris Hall. “Rock ’n‘ roll comes to life at our shows. We will definitely entertain you.” Oak Street Blues, whose influences include Tom Petty, Traveling Wilburys, The Flaming Lips, Wilco, and My Morning Jacket, are an Alternative Folk/Country band based in Los Angeles. Founded by Chris Hall, a 15-year veteran of several bands spanning genres as diverse as Gangsta Rap to Electronica to Rockabilly, the sound of Oak Street Blues captures the feeling of what makes a man crazy about women, heartbreak, and ’55 Buicks. Once he was satisfied with the direction of the music, he enlisted bass player Jenny Arias, recent addition Stephanie Sheer on keyboards and vocals, and hired gun Alejandra Arellano on drums. Shout-out to Kevin Ng and Pat Romero, extended OSB family and back-up band members! The sound is energetic, lively, and unpredictable. The live shows, featuring a mix of original tunes and eclectic covers, encourage dancing, singing, and even a kazoo-along! Not only does the band pump up the crowd, but also the band’s characters, Penguin, Pumpkin guy, Spaceman, and Mr. Frog, run through the crowd dancing around. Follow the continuing adventures of these characters in OSB’s music videos.
