The need for such a book is readily apparent. All of us at one time or another experience what – in the jargon of the psychologist – are called personality maladjustments. These may be and usually are minor mental disturbances of one kind or another – doubt, worry, fear, and so forth – which, while not always requiring the specialized services of a psychiatrist, need very much to be corrected and avoided. To this end we need a practical handbook or manual that will outline an effective method of procedure. This translation of Father Irala’s work does, we feel, more that adequately fulfill that need.
