This is the first book about canning I purchased, and it's still my go-to reference. Even as I write this, I'm processing a batch of hot and spicy tomato relish from this book. Today I also made four jars of wine jelly – still a great and very simple recipe. Instructions are clearly written and illustrated. Recipes work just as they are supposed to. I use this when I need to know how to prepare rhubarb for the freezer, or how long to process jars of tomatoes. This is an excellent all-purpose guide to home canning & preserving.
