Description
Placitas Garden Club cook book–created for the benefit of the Placitas Fire Department. The garden club was established in 1965 and while gardening was its central interest, the club has a keen interest in the community and has supported many local organizations. The Volunteer Fire Department has been a long-time beneficiary of this interest. This book is full of old-time, new, family favorite and pot-luck recipes. There is everything from Drinks/Appetizers, breads, soups/salads to main attractions: fish, beef, chicken, eggs, pork and vegetable entrees. Following this are the sides featuring rice, grits, beans, and corn and moving on to puddings, pies, cakes and cookies. And, not to be missed: Sauces, marinades, pickles, candy, salsa, dog biscuits, and . . . window washing fluid. A delightful cookbook!
