Description
The discovery of Lascaux cave’s prehistoric art work so fascinated many that thousands crowded in to see it and in doing so nearly destroyed the murals and carvings which had been preserved for 17,000 years. Algae and bacteria invaded the rock walls. It became necessary to seal off the cave to the general public. This film enables the spectator to see Lascaux, and Alan Aber, our guide, shows us around the most rare and inaccessible images.
