Description
Loosely based on the Willow Creek Metamorphosis curriculum, this story teaches wisdom from Proverbs 13:10 on the importance of taking advice. As best friends Fleeya mosquito and Sue butterfly share some punch, a Bungle Bird flies by and eats them for lunch. Finding themselves in the dark belly of the bird, they try hard to think of an escape. Fleeya comes up with several solutions, but Sue–the older of the two–won’t listen. Deciding she must act on her own, Fleeya flies up the bird’s throat and out its mouth when it’s sleeping. Unfortunately, Sue is not so lucky. This clever, rhyming poem–Dr. Seuss style–helps kids understand the importance of listening to friends and wise counselors when they need help. Recommended for ages for ages 8 and under.
