This vintage, collectible classic children’s storybook featured a different, fun story for every day of the year, including numerous holiday stories on the appropriate dates. Long out of print and now very hard to find, the cover of this 1940s edition features a white-haired grandmother in a purple dress, sitting in a blue easy chair, reading to three little children by lamp light as they relax around her in their pajamas with their little dog sleeping nearby. Every page is illustrated with black-and-white line drawings by Janet Robson, often accented with splashes of rich red, deep blue, or bright green. This is the original 1940s collectible book.
